The Senior NPC for Men and Women Kicked off in Christchurch today and will continue across the weekend. Six men and four women sides will battle it out to be crowned champions of New Zealand while also trying to catch the eye of the National Selectors.

It appears hard to pick a winner in either divisions with all four womens sides (Canterbury, Otago, South Canterbury, Wairarapa) looking likely. The mens division also has four sides shaping as likely winners (Auckland, Canterbury, Central Otago, Otago) with Wairarapa more than capable of pulling of some upsets. Newcomers South Canterbury are a young side with many of the players able to play 19yrs.
